Integration Law: Theorical Tendences In The Latin American Context

PDF (Español (España))

Abstract

The present descriptive investigation focused in the diverse theoretical currents that influence in the process of Latin American integration. Its methodology is based on the analytical, descriptive and comparative techniques with a qualitative approach, where the collection of scientific information has been done through indirect techniques of analysis. The collected empirical material consisted of specialized doctrine works, referring to international relations and the right of integration, identifying the thinking of different authors on the evolution of the Latin American process.
As a result of the analysis, it was possible to conclude that currently in the Latin American context, there is a Eurocentric conceptua- lization to interpret international relations and to explain the phenomenon of integration, as a logical consequence of the advanced state of evolution in the stages of the European integration process. However, the phenomenon of integration must be addressed theoretically taking into account the socio-economic, political and cultural reality of the region, and in this context an attempt was made to create an interpretative framework that takes into account the variables of the regional reality.
