Job stability and changes to the approval process in Ecuador
Abstract
We analyze the changes to the administrative procedure of ‘Visto Bueno’ in Ecuador, based on the Regulations issued by the Ministry of Labor. Several of these regulations present inconsistencies with the Labor Code or, in turn, ignore the Constitutional Court’s criteria about to the right to appeal. The analysis also includes preliminary reflections about the right to job stability, as well as a review of the background of the ‘Visto Bueno’ in our legislation.
